Complementary Holistic Medicine
The SIKE Technique is a modern Japanese revision of classical Chinese medicine based on the flow of Qi throughout the body. The technique was created by Haruchika Noguchi, who founded an acclaimed Japanese holistic health organization, as a healing and health maintenance discipline. Mallory and Therese Fromm, fluent in Japanese, trained in the technique for over 20 years. Diagnosis is made according to the Western model of anatomy and physiology, and treatment is applied according to the Eastern paradigm: holistically, with no invasive procedures or drugs.
Using Qi for medical purposes has been pursued in Asia from ancient times, and has been systematized into several major forms of treatment including acupuncture, yoga, and qi gong.
The SIKE Technique is a hands-on treatment, but it is not a massage technique, nor is it related to chiropractic, Reiki, or shiatsu. At SIKE Health, using our hands, we “read” the flow of ki through neural pathways and in the nerves embedded in muscles and organs. With the specific application of ki, muscles can be stimulated to realign themselves and the bones they control, and the immune system and organs can be stimulated to regain their original health. In this way, the body is released from pain, restructured, and strengthened.
